Welcome to the Chicago Cryptozoological Society, an effort to catalogue and detail the wealth of greater Chicago area cryptids.  While the city is not typically know for its mysterious creatures, the site is an inquiry and investigation of local lore and legend.  Such creatures exist in the ether between science and folklore, between the natural world and fantasy, and offer a peek not only into the bizarre and unexplained  wildlife of Chicago, but also the fertile minds of the city’s inhabitants.
